Beatrice Radden Keefe received her PhD from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2008, with a thesis on the illustrated manuscripts of Terence’s comedies. She has worked at the British Library, at the Index of Medieval Art at Princeton University, and since 2015 as Lehrbeauftragte in the Kunsthistorisches Institut at UZH, holding seminars with themes ranging from copying to monsters. Her current research focuses on theatre imagery, as found variously in Roman wall paintings, late antique mosaics, and medieval manuscripts; her book, The Illustrated Afterlife of Terence’s Comedies (800-1200), was published with Brill in 2021.
