Exhibition Unframed: The Sigg Collection Goes Virtual
The course Methods in Digital (Art) Curation: The Sigg Collection at the Chair of East Asian Art History, asked how curatorial practice changes when an exhibition moves into digital space. Working with the Sigg Collection of contemporary Chinese art, students explored augmented reality, virtual gallery environments, and narrative maps— reflecting throughout on how each format shapes curatorial meaning. The course concluded with the public exhibition Unframed: The Sigg Collection Goes Virtual on 8 June, an event we celebrated with presentations from Dr. Uli Sigg, Prof. Dr. Ewa Machotka, Dr. Stephanie Santschi and the students, as well as with the Keynote Lecture Between Museology and Museography: Computational Interventions by Prof. Dr. Sarah Kenderdine (EPFL).
