Sabrina Rastelli

Sabrina Rastelli, Dr.

Sabrina Rastelli is Associate Professor at Ca’ Foscari University and has been teaching Chinese art and archaeology there since 1999. She holds a degree in Chinese Language and Culture from Ca’ Foscari University (Venice, Italy) and a PhD in Chinese Art and Archaelogy from SOAS. Dr. Rastelli has curated or co-curated several exhibition on ancient Chinese art at major venues in Italy. Her main field of research is Chinese ceramics, in particular the reconstruction of their making process on the basis of archaeological remains and lab analyses. She has also researched extensively on ancient Chinese art. Her latest publication (first of two volumes) is "Chinese Art. From the origin to the Tang dynasty".
